my 3 favourite websites
The first of my favourite websites is www.youtube.com. I like it because you can watch videos that other people have already uploaded. Most of them are pretty funny too. It could make television useless since I could just go to youtube to watch any video that I want. And you could also listen to music as long as the song is not blocked because of copyright issues or because of VEVO.
The next of my favourite websites is www.newgrounds.com. This is a user created website for people to post their flash animations. I like this website because the design of site looks good and I love watching the funny flashes that are already there. Again there is music that newgrounds users have composed and posted. I love listening to some of those.
The last of my favourite websites is www.animefreak.tv. I am a big anime fan. This website is perfect for me since I don't want to pay for watching anime. Being able to use this site allows me to watch anime anytime 24/7. Although the advertisements are annoying, at least the design of the site looks good.

Facebook, a social networking site originally created by Mark Zuckerberg for Harvard students. It eventually expanded to include Boston colleges, the Ivy League, and Stanford University. Soon it expanded to high school students and, finally, to anyone aged 13 and above. Facebook is the most used social network service by worldwide monthly users. But the question is, is Facebook really an effective communication tool? I'm going to expand on this topic.
Let's start with reasons why Facebook is good. The first reason is that it's easy to make and use. Making a Facebook account is simple, anyone can make one. All that is needed is a user name and password. Users can share information and photos to people around the world after making an account. They can update their status and communicate with people in an instant. There is little hassle when using Facebook.
Another good reason is that communication is instantaneous. Because it is instantaneous, users waste less time relaying information from one place to another. Information can be passed on quickly. People usually use Facebook in place of face-to-face conversations because it's so quick and simple to send information to one another. In this time, people want to do things as quickly and effectively as possible.
My last reason for why Facebook is good is that it's very popular. Because Facebook is so well-known and popular, people will always use it for communication purposes. Users will use Facebook more often than other social networking sites. Since there are so many users that are using Facebook, communication is more widespread. Users will find it easier to communicate with everyone at once.
Now let's look at the negative aspects. The first reason is that Facebook accounts can be hacked. As with all technology, there are always some flaws to its design. When accounts are hacked, the hacker may use that information for criminal purposes. The hacker may sell the information to others to create fake IDs and licenses. Privacy is a recurring concern with users around the world.
One more reason is that Facebook allows no human interaction. People usually say that Facebook users are always in front of a screen and never actually communicating properly with others. Some parents are afraid that their children may become awkward when it comes to face-to-face communication with their friends because they spend too much time on Facebook.
My last reason to why Facebook is bad is that posts are public. Some things are better meant to be private than released to the public. Anything that is posted on Facebook becomes worldwide and everyone will be able to find and see it. There are privacy settings to tell who can see it and who can't, but it is not completely private.
In conclusion, Facebook can be a very effective communication tool but has many faults to it at the same time. The reasons stated above are my personal reasons for why it is good and bad. Whether or not Facebook is an effective communication tool and whether or not to use it is up to the user to decide. In my opinion, it is an effective means of communicating despite its faults.
